Occupy Lincoln Center

I wasn't able to make it to last night's Occupy Lincoln Center protest, but fortunately, Alex Ross was there, and he provides a great recap here. Philip Glass, whose Satyagraha had just been performed at the Met for the final time this season, recited the prophetic final lines of the opera to a crowd of 200 or so, including Lou Reed, Laurie Anderson, and numerous other critics. "In all," Alex says, "it was a remarkable scene."
