In its 44th season of free Parks Concerts, the New York Phil played Bach, Beethoven and Sibelius in Prospect Park on Monday, under incoming music director Alan Gilbert. New gimmick: the audience was asked to choose the encore via text message.The winner? Overture to Bizet's Carmen. Wow.
