Bring the House Down
By the time No Age took the stage last night as Ms. Bea's, the place was already all worked up from Wavves thrashing set, with had fans dancing on stage and crawling across the ceiling like a jungle gym.
"Everyone needs to back up three feet!" Todd P told the crowd. "We can't have any people onstage for this next set!"
He just barely succeeded, the surge seemingly on the brink of bringing down the temporary wood and tin structure. Fans had to hold the amp stacks and Dean Spunt's drumkit in place so they wouldn't get knocked over. After the second time the power went out, Spunt and guitarist Randy Randall kept right on playing, with everyone clapping along to the beat. The happiest, messiest show I've seen in a very long time. Can't think of a better way to close out. (More pics below.)
