Sunday on the Roof

Why spend money or deal with crowds when you can spend a beautiful Sunday afternoon on a rooftop with friends, food, and all the music you can drink? On the corner of 10th St. and 4th Ave. in Park Slope, David, Charlie and Kari (straight from the Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival) kicked things off with an old-time set right at sunset. They were followed by a jazz/funk trio playing an extended jam of standards, led by a trumpeter who blew literally smoke (see below.) It wasn't long before the whole thing erupted into a wild dance party that continued until the cops came and shut us down. Which means you know it was fun. (More pics below.)DSC07146
