A brilliant evening under the stars tonight at Celebrate Brooklyn, where local heroes The National played to a capacity crowd, rifling through a set filled with hits from both of their highly acclaimed albums The Alligator, The Boxer, and their new release High Violet. In addition to the core unit of lead singer/songwriter Matt Berninger, brothers Bryce and Aaron Dessner and Bryan and Scott Devendorf, the band was joined by brass players Padma Newsome and Colin Steston and percussionist Conrad Doucette.
