Among modern-day megafestivals, none adheres better to the original Woodstock ideal than Bonnaroo: the occasionally grungy, often blissful utopia on a farm in Manchester, TN, about 90 minutes south of Nashville.

Now in its second decade, Bonnaroo has long since left its jam-band heritage in the dust (or, depending on the weather, mud), consistently putting up one of the best and most diverse lineups in the land. The festival starts today, and runs straight through till Sunday with over 130 bands and countless sideshows, planned and otherwise.
