Preview: San Diego Symphony with Lang Lang at Carnegie Hall
The San Diego Symphony, which came roaring back from the brink of bankruptcy in the '90s and celebrated their centennial in 2011, makes their triumphant Carnegie Hall debut tonight under their charismatic music director, Jahja Ling. The San Diegans will be performing a Russian-themed program, including Rachmaninoff's Second Piano Concerto (with none other than Lang Lang) and Prokofiev's Fifth Symphony, along with the New York premiere of David Bruce's latest composition, Night Parade.
Tickets are available (for Lang Lang, these prices are a steal!), and can be purchased through Carnegie's website.
