Fun Fun Fun Fest: Friday
AUSTIN, TX — For the fourth time in its eight-year history, I'm in Austin this weekend for the Fun Fun Fun Fest, which brings together the seemingly disparate worlds of hip hop, electronica, punk, indie, metal, and comedy to Auditorium Shores. Yesterday was a bit cold and dreary, but didn't seem to dampen the spirits of those who came out to see sets from festival vets No Age, Thee Oh Sees, Big Freedia, and The Walkmen, along with newcomers Lupe Fiasco, RJD2, Cut Copy, and Snoop Dogg, who closed out the main Orange Stage with his expectedly ribald celebration of dope, drink, and dames. Good times—especially if you're an awkward white dude.
