ACME Performs Music of Lutoslawski and Stucky Tonight at Symphony Space
Polish composer Witold Lutoslawski—who, like Benjamin Britten, would have been 100 this year—hasn't received anything close to the recognition of his British contemporary this season. (The NY Phil did perform Lutoslawski's Chain 2: Dialogue for Violin and Orchestra with Jennifer Koh on what would have been his 100th birthday last January.) Tonight at Symphony Space, intrepid new music group ACME looks to fill in the gap with a program that pairs Lutoslawski's chamber music with that of Steven Stucky, who's written a biography of Lutoslawski and his music.Tickets are available at the Symphony Space box office or online. If you can't make it up to 95th Street, Q2 will be streaming the concert live, starting at 7:30.
